Rimmel to Launch Wonder’full Mascara and Brow Gel

20 Jun

Rimmel London

This summer sees the release of two new products from Rimmel:; Wonder’full Mascara and a series of Brow Gels.  I’m really looking forward to the launch of the Wonder’full Mascara as it contains Argan oil so I can’t wait to see what its like.  It does seem like Argan oil is being added to almost everything at the moment.  According to Rimmel due to the mascara containing the Argan oil it will dry quickly and mean that the lashes will not clump together.  The mascara brush is also flexible in order to ensure that all the lashes are coated from root to tip.

The new Brow Gel will be available in both clear and coloured shades.  This will helps to define brows and keep them in place all day.  The formula is said to be light weight and long lasting; which is great because you don’t want to be constantly trying to fix your brows?  If you know me then you’ll know that I love brow products and barley ever leave the house without doing them so I am looking forward to giving this a go.

There is a little while to weight before they are released as they won’t be on sale until the 6th August.  The  Wonder’full mascara will retail at £7.99 and the Brow Gels will be £3.99.

Kate Moss Lipstick 02 Review

12 Nov

This is the second Kate Moss lipstick that I’ve bought and I love this one as much as the other that I have. Shade 02 is a gorgeous bright pink colour. The packaging is the same as the others in the Kate Moss, black with Kate written in red.

This lipstick is really pigmented and applies as bright as it looks, which I love! This lipstick like the other  I have lasts really well and lasts for about 5 hours without needing to be topped up. The colour doesn’t bleed but it can smudge if you touch it or are eating, so you might want to be careful if your eating and drinking when wearing it.

I really love how bright and shiny this lipstick looks and think it’s the perfect lipstick to wear going out or if your even during the day, if like me you love bright lips 🙂

This lipstick can be bought in Superdrug/Boots for £5. However I picked it up from a store called The Factory Shop for only £2!

Have you tried any of the Kate Moss lipstick? Let me know what you think of them and what you favourite shade is 🙂

#SBBC 10 Products Under £10

20 Sep

I love shopping and if I had the money I would probably shop everyday.  But I don’t think that you always have to spend a lot of money to get a great product and I feel that there are loads of drugstore cosmetics that could rival their high-end counter parts.  So here are my top ten products for £10 and under;

10 products under £10

MUA Eye Primer – This eye primer works really well considering the price.  If I’m honest I probably won’t look for another eye primer as this one does a great job. Price – £2.50

NYC Mascara – You can see my full review here and the difference it made to my lashes.  The only thing about this product is that it isn’t waterproof but it last all day and really makes a difference to lashes. Price – £2.49

Revlon Kissable Balm Stain – I love this and I’m planning on buying more colours of these.  They keep lips moisturized while providing colour and you don’t have to keep reapplying as after a while they turn into a lip stain, perfect for when you don’t have time to reapply constantly. Price – £7.99

Barry M Nail Paints – I love these! Most of them are £2.99 but you’ll pay a little more of ones that have an effect to them.  The last for around 5 days before you’ll start to notice a little chipping.  There are over 50 colours in the range so you’ll definitely find a colour that you like! Price – from £2.99

Collection Glam Crystals – I’ve used Collection Glam Crystals for years and they are the best glitter eyeliners that I’ve tried.  The last all day and come in a wide range of colours.  Price – £2.99

10 products under £10

Bourjois Delice de Poudre –  This bronzer is mainly matte – it has got a little bit of shimmer in the packaging but you don’t notice this when it applied making it great for contouring.  Not only is it shaped like a chocolate bar it also smells like chocolate.  Price – £6.99

Sleek Rose Gold Blush – Another favourite within the blogging community is this blusher and if you have it you’ll know why.  It’s highly pigmented and lasts all day.  Not only is this blush under £10, it’s a close dupe of Nars Orgasm. Price – £4.99

Loreal Elnett – This is the best hair spray that I’ve ever used and although a little more expensive that some it’s definitely worth it and I don’t think I’d ever use a different hairspray.  I really does brush out of hair and doesn’t leave it feeling sticky like some brands do.  Price – £3.89

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick (Mango Tango) – I’ve not reviewed this yet but it’s such a great little lipstick and I used it quite a few times on holiday.  It last about 4-5 hours and is great for adding a pop of colour to your make-up look.  Price – £2.99

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation – Always a favourite foundation of mine and I know a lot of other blogger have a love for this foundation as well.  It provides good coverage and feels light on the skin.  Price – £8.99

So that’s my top ten products under £10 🙂 Do you use any of the ones on my list or do you have another product you think should be on it?

Summer Essentials (2) – Face

31 May

This is part to in my Summer Essentials series if you haven’t seen the first one you can see it here.

So this post focuses on what I think are perfect face products for summer.  I love wearing slightly more shimmery products during the summer as they tend to catch the sun.  So here are the products that I feel are the summer essentials;

Summer Essentials Face

  • Bourjois Bronzer – This is a gorgeous matte bronzer which I find great for contouring and just for adding a little bit of colour to you skin.  This bronzer is shaped and smells like chocolate 🙂  You can see my full review of the Bourjois bronzer here.
  • Benefit That Gal Primer – I currently only have a sample size version of this product but I’ll definitely be investing in the full size once it runs outs.  I find that my make-up stays put all day when I use this primer, which I think is essential for summer as you don’t want to have to continually reapply your make-up.  I also find that this works as a subtle highlighter by patting it in just above your cheeks.
  • Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation – This foundation helps create a lovely glow without making you look like a disco ball.  It provides a medium coverage and helps to brighten up your skin.  Wake Me Up foundation also feels really light on skin making it perfect for summer.  You can see my full review of it here.
  • MUA Pressed Powder –  I use this powder in the summer usually just along my T zone to prevent it from getting oily.  This pressed powder is £1 only in Superdrug and I feel that it’s really good value for the money.
  • Sleek Rose Gold Blush – This is a lovely coral/pink coloured blusher and has a subtle gold shimmer running though it.  It’s really pigmented so a little goes a long way.  Coral shades seem to be really popular this summer and I feel this blush is a must have for summer.  You can see my full review of Sleek Rose Gold bush here.

So that the second in my summer essentials posts, let me know what you think of the products that I included and what you summer essentials would be 🙂

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Review

1 Apr

This foundation from Rimmel claims to have an anti-fatigue effect and give skin a radiant glow.  The foundation also contains peptides and a vitamin moisturising complex.  I’ve seen quite a few reviews of this foundation and it seems to be something that is either loved or hated due to the tiny shimmer particles.

Anyway I have it in shade 100 Ivory.  It comes in a glass bottle with a bright orange top and you get 30ml of product.  The foundation is only available in six shades so some people may have difficulty finding a shade that suits them.I have to admit that I really like the packaging of this product.

The foundation gives a medium coverage and feel really light on skin.  I feel that it really helps brighten up tiered looking skin.  I find that it lasts about 6-8 hours which I feel is quite good so it last all day at uni.

The shimmer particles are quite visible in the bottle which I have tried to show in the picture above.  I’ll admit that at first I wasn’t really that sure about this foundation, but I have really come to like it.  I don’t feel like the shimmer particles are really visible on skin unless you apply a lot of the product to your skin.  As you can see from the swatch in the next picture that was taken in sunlight, you can’t see the sparkles once the foundation has been blended into the skin.

Wake Me Up foundation can be purchased in Boots and Superdrug and cost £8.99.

Have you used this foundation, let me know what you think 🙂

6 Mar

So here are the products I’ve been using the most through February,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

First is the Nivea Hydration Primer, I have used this product everyday since I bought it and I will be reviewing soon

Next is the Sleek Au Naturel palette which I used to create my Valentine’s Day look, but it’s perfect for creating a nice smokey eye look. (You can find my review of it here)

Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, I’ve seen good and bad reviews on this and I have to admit at first I wasn’t sure about it but I’ve started using it more and quite like it. (Another product to review soon).

Hask Macadamia oil, I feel that this really increases the shine pf my hair and really love it.

And last but not least my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 5 which is a gorgeous pink shade.

Hope you liked my favourites, let me know what you thought 🙂

Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation Review

13 Jul

I’ve tried a lot of foundations, but could never seem to find one that I really liked until I bought this one.  I bought this foundation in 100 Ivory and there are four other shades available.  I would say that the colour choice is limited and most seem quiet light.

This foundation gives a nice even coverage and appears to even skin tone.  I feel that this foundation does adapt slightly to skin tone meaning that it looks natural without reducing the amount of coverage and also has a lovely light weight feel. The foundation last most of the day on me however if you were wanting longer wear then it may be best to apply a primer before hand.

The foundation comes in a small glass tub, which is small enough to fit in a make-up bag.  I think that the packaging give the product a slightly more expensive feel.

This foundation is available from Boots and Superdrug for £6.99
