OOTD – Hearts and Bows

28 Apr

So after my haul I decided that I really had to some more outfit posts.  I find that I have a tendency to forgot to take outfit pictures, sometimes I think “This would make a good blog post” but just forget to take pictures because I have something to do.  So my aim is to remember to take more pictures!

I decided to team this skater skirt which I featured in my haul post with a body which has cute little bow prints on it.  I wanted to make sure that it didn’t seem to dress looking so I paired it with some cute converse that have a pastel heart print on them.  I think that this gives it a slightly more sporty looking vibe which I quite like 🙂

As you can see in my first picture my puppy decided she wanted to be a part; so I thought I’d include a picture where she doesn’t look so silly with her ears backwards.

OOTD – Tartan Skirt

23 Jan

ootd - tartan skirt

I didn’t have time to upload this on Monday when I actually wore this, so it’s not exactly an OOTD.  This gorgeous tartan skirt is from Vi Nouveau which I picked up at Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair last weekend in Glasgow.  You can find Vi Nouveau on here on ASOS Marketplace, and would recommend that you check them out if you want to find some genuine vintage pieces along with some that have been reworked.  This tartan skirt is one of their handmade items and I love it!  It has an elasticated waist band meaning that it can fit a whole range of sizes and will fit perfectly.  They have a similar skirt in their store at the moment which is navy and red.

I’m sorry that the picture aren’t really the best that they could be; I was trying out taking them myself using the timer.  Oh well, there’s always next time 🙂

OOTD – Christmas

27 Dec

So this is my first post since before Christmas, so I hope everyone had a lovely time.  I really enjoyed Christmas and love giving people presents.  I feel really lucky that I got so many nice things for Christmas such as my Tassimo machine (I love coffee!), my Mark Hill Curling wand, Fall Out Boy tickets, clothes and more 🙂 I just want to say another wee thank you to everyone that gave me a present.

Anyway this was what I wore.  If you follow me on instagram then you’ll know that I bought these shoes and how much I love them.  Being a bit of small person (5ft 3), I love these shoes as they add so much height but the still manage to remain really comfy and you don’t feel like your going to topple over.

OOTD – Bats and Peplum

11 Dec

I bought this jumper a few weeks ago, it’s not very Chirstmasy I know but I couldn’t resist!  I love the little bats on it which are made of a pleather type material and the jumper itself is lovely and soft.  I decided to team it with my peplum skirt in order to make the skirt a bit less dress and make it a cute outfit for some Christmas shopping.

OOTD – Cute Shorts

8 Nov

I really can’t believe how much uni work I’ve had lately, but I’m trying my best to make sure that I keep blogging.  This year and next year count toward my final degree grade so I feel like I have to put a lot more effort into uni work but I’m starting to organise mine time a bit better now.  Oh and I also created an Instagram so you can follow me there too if you like 🙂 Anyway on with the post…

I felt that I hadn’t done an outfit post in a while and I am definitely going to try and do more of them.  This is an outfit that I wore to uni during the week.  I’ve had the shorts for a while but never wore them as they were a little too big but I finally decided to take them.  I’m not the best a sewing but I feel that I did quite well at it 🙂

I really like these cute little shorts and wish that I’d been brave enough to take them in sooner.  I really love the braces on them 🙂  The buttons also have a cute bow detail on them.  I think that these might be something that I’ll try and get some use of before the weather gets too cold!

Hope you like my outfit, let me know what you think 🙂

OOTD – Red Jeans

9 Aug

This was the outfit that I wore today when I went out shopping with my boyfriend 🙂  I don’t usually wear heels when out shopping but I’ve been watching Pretty Little Liars lately, and the characters always seem to be in heels which made me want to wear some of mine more often.  I feel like I also tend to use the same bags a lot of the time so I decided that I would use this cute little Route 66 bag that I picked up in a shop in St Andrews a few years ago which sold vintage/antique items.  I kept my jewellery quite simple with just my charm bracelet and a white pleated leather bracelet.

OOTD – Stripes

3 Jul

I haven’t done an outfit post in a while so I decided to do an outfit post on what I wore the other day when I went out shopping.  Don’t worry I’m still following my spending ban rules, I still have a couple of gift cards to spend 🙂  I wore this cute dress that I picked up in New Look a while back and teamed it with studded flats from Primark, I still can’t believe they were only £4.  I also took my large Paul’s Boutique bag as you can fit lots in it and it means you can stick some of your shopping in it 🙂
